Dear God of Hope,
We come to you with our burdens and anxieties knowing that although our problems are real, your love and care for us is real as well. I pray for my friend who may feel a little like the people Israel—staring at crumbled-down Jerusalem. Bind up her wounds. Heal her broken heart.
Jesus, Our Anchor of Hope
Hard times are just that—hard. But you are so good. We thank you that difficulties mature us and build our faith in you and that is such a good and perfect gift. Like Ruth, we set our hearts on being faithful to you and those around us even when our circumstances are not ideal. Like at all.
And Holy Spirit, Our Source of Hope
Although we hope for better times on this earth, we remain confident of our future hope secured because of Christ’s victory over death and sin and that we have access to life eternal. May with unified actions and voices be confident that
We. Have. Hope.
I pray for my friend. May she know this hope found only in you. Move on her behalf. And may she have staying hope no matter the circumstances.
In your name—by the power of your Holy Spirit—I pray.
Amen.
